Sodexo selected as sole soft services provider in exclusive multi-million pound deal with AstraZeneca
Sodexo, a leading food and facilities management services provider, has been selected as the sole provider of all soft services for pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca, in a multi-million pound deal set to span a minimum of three years.
Sodexo was chosen by AstraZeneca, after a hugely competitive selection process, to provide support services for its UK operations, the company made the decision to combine outsourced soft services at these locations with one company.
With an estimated annual turnover of £9 million, the deal, which began in May, has seen Sodexo employ nearly 450 staff to manage a wide range of services including, security, cleaning, laundry, internal horticulture, and clinical and sanitary disposal.
The new portfolio, which incorporates AstraZeneca executive headquarters at Stanhope Gate in London as well as sites in Bristol, Devon and Macclesfield, marks a significant extension of Sodexo's existing relationship with the company, which has already been fostered internationally in countries such as France, China, Canada and Mexico.
